Research applications

Focused tools for fieldwork and data analysis. From a profile photograph through geochemistry and PCA to sampling plans and publication-ready outputs.

In developmentThe interface is ready for the gradual release of individual tools.

Principle

Less clicking, more control over the data

We design the applications as small, focused research tools. They automate routine work while keeping analytical decisions visible, editable and traceable. The aim is one workflow usable in the field, during analysis and while preparing a paper.

Local or webSensitive data can remain on the device; public tools will run in isolated workspaces.
ReproducibleEvery analysis keeps inputs, settings, transformations and exported results.
Publication-readyFigures, tables and annotations are designed for immediate use in research workflows.

In preparation

One toolkit, one interface

A shared Human Earth Lab visual system, consistent controls and a common project logic across applications.

In development

Profile & Geochemistry

A workspace for profile photography, stratigraphy, Munsell/WRB description and geochemical data. Automatic XRF input checks, depth profiles, PCA, categories, boxplots, statistics and direct linking between a PCA point and its position in the profile.
